As many of you know, I collect zoo and aquarium shot glasses. I have the world's largest and probably only collection and it is my pride and joy. When I die, my children will most likely be left poor in "money" but rich in shot glasses. A legacy we can all be proud of.
I have two additions to announce. First and foremost, this beauty sent by Beth F from the awesome Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco. For those of you unfamiliar with this fine institution, you should know that it is the only aquarium with sevengill sharks (I think) and it has the most fancy pants website this side of not-for-profit ville.
Check it:
This otter was frowning until it saw the epicness of the collection it was joining...
Secondly, I visited the San Antonio Zoo on Valentine's Day and was really impressed with their old school but outstanding aquatic bird facilities. Definitely worth checking out, if not for the birds, then for their awesome shot glass options. Also, you can feed the lorikeets nectar out of a plastic cup. I was hip-checking 6 year olds to get the prime lory feeding spots.
Anyway, the collection as it now stands:

Congrats on another fine addition to your collection! I bow down before the majesty and magnificence that is your collection.
I have been to the pyramids of Egypt, to the Sistine Chapel, to the Grand Canyon and to numerous Hooters around the country but I have never seen anything that compares with the worlds finest collection of zoo and aquarium shot glasses!
Kevin - Well said. You left out the moon landing, but otherwise you summed up the magestification that is my collection quite nicely. You are permitted to live.
You always have the best picture comments! Thanks for the Monday morning laugh. :)
I am deeply saddened - nay, mortified - to see not one Great British Zoo or Aquarium in your list. This abominable situation cannot be allowed to go unremedied and I give you my word that, from now on, my aim in life will be to find you a shot glass from one of our fine institutions! This will be but a small "thank you" for the great pleasure Zooillogics has given me since I found out about you.
I see you almost forgot to list the Seattle Aquarium!
I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in 2007, and I'm pretty sure they have sevengill sharks. At least, I posted a YouTube video I took there and labelled it "Sevengill Shark @ Monterey Bay Aquarium".
Wait....I googled it, and yes, they do have broadnose sevengills on display.
Jason - Why must you turn my blog into a house of lies?!
Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World in Auckland, NZ also has broadnose sevengills on display. I don't know if they do shot glasses though.
Andrew - Carl "Fact Check" Zimmer would be ashamed.
Does the California Academy of Sciences count....? They have lovely aquarium facilities, but perhaps you're looking for more specifically zoo-ish or aquarium-y locations.
Holy crap! I have forgotten to send your glass! I am a terrible, terrible person. It's all wrapped up and everything.
To make it up to you: expect a glass from the Beijing Auqarium around the end of April...
