The prickly pear fruits are ripe in the desert right now. Pretty tasty once you get past the spines. I was surprised you had not tried it since you are in AZ. :)

Roadkill, YES!
Australian Black duck flew low over my ute (pick up truck) and hit the deck on the other side. Hung it for a few days, cooked it. Delicious, and no pellets!
