USA Today is reporting that Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will next month begin trials of backscatter x-ray screening. And how are the TSA ensuring that "naked" pictures of passengers wont appear online?

At airports, they will be programmed to shade or blur travelers' bodies and medical devices. Screeners will view the images in remote rooms and delete them instantly.

Yeah, that will work.

(The above picture, by the way, is of Susan Hallowell, director of the TSA's security laboratory, who said "It does basically make you look fat and naked - but you see all this stuff".)

Kevin Drum posted an anti-rant about the TSA, which argues that the new scanners and pat-downs aren't an outrage because they really mean well: I'm not trying to defend everything TSA has put in place. Some of the stuff they do, like the penknife and nail clipper bans, really is stupid. And maybe…

I know some airport security guards...let's run a fetish site with the pics. I bet that would take off for several months before it gets shut down!

Yeah, and we need a slogan to get attention too. How about something like one of these?:

"These sluts like more than their layers penetrated."

"Cum on in for a smooth landing."

"More than security is tight here."

Just a few ideas, perhaps you have more.

Seriously, having a site like that might be what it takes to get the public to wake up to the fact that security measure are getting more and more and more invasive all the time....

At some point, people are going to realize that additional security measures shouldn't be making them feel more comfortable and secure, but should make them feel more invaded and exposed. Perhaps only if it gets posted all over the web will people realize that it's being done....

ANY amount of xrays or radiation increases the possibility of genetic damage. There is NO threshold level. Lower amounts = less chance of mutations, but again, ANY amount will increase the possibility.
