ScienceBlogs gives a warm welcome to its newest addition, The Voltage Gate, maintained by Jeremy Bruno of Frederick, Maryland.

Jeremy is a biology student, freelance writer, and editor of The Bottom Line, Frostburg State University's independent newspaper. The Voltage Gate—whose name alludes to the voltage-gated ion channels through which nerve impulses travel—will cover topics on ecology, evolution, and conservation.
