You never see graphs this clean in science. But I think most 65-plussers are just angry at and afraid of everything, so this poll might be moot.
Democrats 60%, Republicans 40%. Hmmmmm. I guess we should all just go work at Hooters and let the menfolk do the figgerin'. (Kidding, mostly.)

I thought Rachel Maddow had a very smart take on the fallout from the Massachusetts Senate race. I've placed a lengthy excerpt below the fold.
On paper, after Al Franken was finally certified as winning in Minnesota, Democrats had a filibuster-proof, 60-seat majority. On paper, that's what they…
I welcome Jason Rosenhouse to SB. But, I take issue with the way he frames the issue of politics & evolution. He states:
People like Shapiro, George Will, or Charles Krauthammer are lonely voices in the conservative wilderness, accorded about as much respect in the Republican party as pro-…
Yes, I'm kidding. But there's a new poll which should make every Republican political operative and politician terrified. From Strategic Vision, a Republican polling firm:
4. Do you favor a withdrawal of all United States military from Iraq within the next six months? (Republicans Only)
Yes 51%…
As readers might guess, I get a lot of junk mail from Democrats asking me to save America by giving them money (although some are worth giving to). The newest sales pitch is to raise the specter of Republicans being able to filibuster. For instance, Senate candidate and current congressman Paul…
Well, I think it would be great to have a woman as President. I mean, she could cook for the other world leaders when they come to visit, and I bet the capital building would be spotless with all the cleaning. And look at how much vacation GW took off... why, that's plenty of time for child rearing!
Let's see... did I miss an offensive stereotype.. oh, damn. Forgot about putting on makeup in the car. Guess I'll save that for the women in combat post (have you seen a woman park a tank?!?!).
I would like to see a woman president, if only for the swift kick in the nuts it would be to the religious right. Other than that, it's the same thing as if a man was. The problem is that if she's horrible, everyone will be afraid to criticize for fear of being labeled sexist. There will be a war of wishy-washy words across the country about whether the good aspects are because she's female, or if the policies of a woman will reflect poorly on the US in Islamic nations, etc etc. Expect to see a load of qualifiers and preeemptive apologies before any sentence even alluding to her sex when it does happen.
There was a story recently about Democratic voters that were calling her things like a horrid b**ch. The person said he had never heard people from the same party utter such angry things about a candidate for President.
I don't have particularly strong feelings about Hillary Clinton as a politician. I live in New York State, and will undoubtedly vote for her. I've never mistaken her (nor her husband) for a true progressive, but for now she's the best we've got. We can't all live in Connecticut.
That said: Of all the Presidential spouses during my lifetime, she's the one I most strongly respect, because unlike the other First Ladies (Who came up with that patronizing title? Gag!) that I remember, Hillary didn't check her spine at the door of the White House. I'm sure that there have been other potential Hillary Clintons or Eleanor Roosevelts out there, but the press and the public have always treated the wives of presidents like dog crap whenever they've dared to express their own opinions.
I second that Julie!!
You know surprises me a little, that sex is still an issue when it comes to electing presidents. I find it strange that people still consider it a question whether Americans are ready for a woman president or not. And it truly blows my mind that there are people who think that they aren't.
I don't understand why it's an issue at all whether the president has a weiner or not. Who really cares? I mean even Pakistan has had a female prime minister. It's odd how regressive the US is regarding the sex of its leaders.
Almost 40% now way from the R's?
Scratch one Condi.
