MIT alumnus Dr. Jim Walsh did just that, and will report to us via an interview on Monday, June 4 via a live chat.  From the announcement:

My Five Dinners with Ahmadinejad: Discussions on Iran, North Korea, and the Nuclear Age

Jim Walsh PhD ’00 is an international security expert and a research associate at MIT’s Security Studies Program. He is one of a small number of Americans who has traveled to North Korea and Iran for talks with officials about nuclear issues. His research focuses on international security, nuclear weapons, and terrorism, and his analysis has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Economist, and other national media outlets.

Yes, he has dined with Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Walsh will discuss his work, plus ongoing developments in North Korea and Iran, at the next Faculty Forum Online on Monday, June 4, 2012, noon-12:30 p.m.
