Given that Questioner, and the fact that tomorrow is the first day of December, I'd say that tomorrow would be a good day to put on your snow tires (or buy them if you don't already have them).

The title of the Crossing is certainly appropriate. ("The Wind on the Plain", if I'm translating the French accurately.)
