It is friday, already, in some time zones anyway, and I am entering my fourth day of being closely confined with rather too many of my dear colleagues for 10-12 contiguous hours at an undisclosed location...
...so, it must be time to go to the Mighty iPod One and ask a subtly mysteriously topical question: Oh, Mighty iPod One - is there in fact life on the conjectured water rich "Super-Earths"? And, while we are at it, does it include mighty tentacled cephalopod like beasties?

Whoosh goes the randomizer.
Whoosh.
- The Covering: Þrjú hjól undir bílnum - Ómar Ragnarsson
- The Crossing: Don't Let Go - Lightning Seeds
- The Crown: There is Power in a Union - Billy Bragg
- The Root:Too Marvelous for Words - Billie Holiday
- The Past: I'm a Cuckoo - Belle and Sebastian
- The Future: Candy - Iggy Pop
- The Questioner: Bloodshed in Africa - Alpha Blondy
- The House: The Snakepit - Cure
- The Inside: This is the way we... - children's traditional
- The Outcome: This War is Over - Melissa Etheridge
Hm, the Covering is the all time classic "three wheels under the car", which is the Perfect Driving Song, without doubt. Detailing a family car drive through the old (pre-road and bridges) highlands of Iceland. It ends in cheerful disaster, everyone is happy.
Crossing and Crown look promising, must say. Rousing stuff.
The Root seems on target also. The Past is intriguing - clearly something here but we're on a slightly wrong track. Panspermia maybe?
The Future is clearly a statement on the Terrestrial Planet Finder, what can I say.
I am puzzled by the Questioner.
No comment on the House. Or the Inside.
I was puzzled by the Outcome till I saw the lyrics - water worlds have runaway snowball instabilities? ]

perhaps the iPod is exhorting you to think more about Darfour...though that has little to do with waterworlds, save one...
Water worlds are peacful because there are no resource wars?
I actually thought it was a "stop asking stupid questions and focus on the important stuff" kinda answer...
The iPod is very wise.
