"Worm grunting" is a curious but popular practice for harvesting earthworms in Florida's Apalachicola National Forest. To summon earthworms to the surface, worm grunters drive a wooden stake into the soil and vibrate it. Panicked worms pour out of the ground and thousands can be gathered in just a…

In this nightmarish time lapse video, a gentle spider crab is internally consumed by a terrifying angry red spider crab who then dispenses of the empty husk of its former host.

Martin Cothran, scourge of all deviation, whether from his ideal of "classical education," from his creationist beliefs, from his homophobia, from his misogyny, from his aversion to women who assert their own sexuality, or from his conservative ideals, wants us all to know:

You've just made my day.
The only thing that could have improved on this is if dear old Terry had started flapping and gotten airborne with his little tuxedoed friends.
So, Hypatia, that was Terry Jones? I thought it might be, but I don't think I've seen him since Meaning of Life. Which is odd, because Cleese and Palin and Idle are everywhere it seems. Or perhaps the UK is understandably protective and keeping him for themselves.
You cheeky devil :-D !! You nearly caught me on that one! I was all ready to believe it because you have me eating out of the palm of your hand and I believe that if Terry Jones is in the picture it must be true - and then - and then - I saw the date!! That was a really good April Fool's wheeze!
I am SO GLAD of the following:
-Terry Jones is out and about after his bout with cancer
-The BBC continue to reign supreme with commercials and programming
-Someone else had the same reaction I had during March of the Penguins-- 'For Christ's sake, do they really have to go through all this? Can't we just AIRLIFT them somewhere TROPICAL and save the Species? REALLY!'
And HP, since Meaning of Life, Terry Jones has:
-Written Labyrinth, that glorious collaboration between Jim Henson, George Lucas and David Bowie's crotch--although the film was so changed from his initial draft as to be unrecognizable
-Focused on Academia, but also made a couple of BBC series--'MEdieval Lives,' in which he postulates that medieval live in Europe was not as bad as it seemed, and 'Barbarians,' about how the Romans got on top by stealing their ideas from 'barbarians.' I haven't seen either but one is supposed to be released in the US on DVD sometime soon!
