Project Lead The Way, the nation's leading provider of STEM education, is partnering with the USA Science and Engineering Festival to celebrate innovation in Washington, D.C. on October 23 and 24. The festival seeks to re-invigorate the interest of America's youth in STEM education by producing and presenting a compelling, exciting, educational and entertaining science gathering for students. In addition to the two days of exhibits and events in our nation's capital, the Festival includes contests and satellite events in schools and communities nationwide.

PLTW encourages students, educators and parents to participate in the most exciting science festival of the year. PLTW currently has over 350,000 students enrolled in its rigorous and innovative STEM education courses that emphasize critical thinking skills and real-world problem solving. PLTW's 4,000 schools will have the opportunity to:

Travel to Washington, DC and experience hundreds of exhibits and new learning opportunities, including fun, hands-on activities. Participate in the PLTW exhibits (both engineering and biomedical sciences) as well as numerous student exhibits that will showcase the work of PLTW schools from across the country.

Meet some of our nation's leading science and engineering experts. Participate in contests, including the Rubiks cube tournament and the Jingle contest Host a local satellite event during the same week that thousands of people will be celebrating science in Washington, DC

In Washington, DC, over 500 science organizations from all over the United States will present hands-on, fun science activities to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. The list of exhibitors includes universities, colleges, high school science clubs, student organizations, research institutes, informal science outreach organizations, community organizations, professional science & engineering societies, life science and high tech companies, and many other types of science organizations.
