Nutrition Wonderland
NutritionWonderland is a fantastic site which looks at nutrition from all angles, from health to ecological impact to hard science. Right now, they're running a special feature called "Plastic Troubles" about all those things that plastics make possible, like smaller testes, cancer, and marine debris. So far, you've only missed articles on BPA and Phthalates, so if you hurry, you'll catch up pretty quickly. Some horror stories about brominated flame retardants and dioxin are on the way, as well as a nice piece written by yours truly about the ecological impacts of plastics.
Hey there Observations of a Nerd readers,
If you've been here long enough, you might remember me mentioning a side project that I write for called Nutrition Wonderland. Well, it's taken on a life of its own, and it's now a fully-functioning and amazing site on nutrition and health - you should go check it out.
I wanted to tell you guys about my newest endeavor there called "Understanding our Bodies: The Physiology of Nutrition." I'm writing a series about how the way our bodies work relates to what we eat and how we feel. If you like some of the stuff on here, you should really go check it…
Hey there all,
I've been asked to team up with a cool crew of people and chip in some stories at a site called NutritionWonderland.Com. It's a new site (launching in the next week or two, so it's not even completely ready yet) that wants to bring the science back into nutrition. The goal is to blend in-depth science reporting with how it directly relates to diet and its impacts on health. In the end, the reader will not only learn about the latest breakthroughs in health science, but how it impacts them and their diet. It's a very cool idea.
Well, I figure - oh, what the heck? As if two blogs…
