“Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential.” -Bruce Lee
One of the greatest tricks that filmmakers use to enhance what can be shown in apparent real-time is that of stop-motion. Frame-by-frame, objects or people are carefully posed, enabling you to create an animated wonderland of feats otherwise unattainable by the people in question.
But as far as epic karate fights go, Collider Digital has taken this to an entirely new level, with the greatest stop-motion karate duel I've ever seen, and it's not even close!
Go view the whole thing -- with a fun stop-motion song after -- for our weekend diversion!

Their previous Stop Motion Parkour is also worth catching. The really cool thing about the Stop Motion Karate clip is they also put up a making of clip. My first thought was in how awful their camera rig was. You can see it between 30 seconds and the 1 minute mark in the 'making of' clip. Then you get to see how much work had to be done in post production to compensate for it.
Both clips stop motion clips are really fun and I hope they make more, but for their sake I hope someone gives them some tips on gantry construction.
