It looks like I have quite a few new people coming to the site today to read about some pretty bizarre chemistry, so if you happen to be one of them, I'd encourage you to have a look around the rest of the site. One of the more interesting ongoing projects on this site has been chronicling the animal rights movement in Oxford, and the extraordinary response of the local scientists, via the organization Pro-Test. You can read about Pro-Test here and about the animal rights extremists here.

There's plenty more out there as well, including the ongoing fight against political interference in science and interesting developments in open access literature. Take a look around, make yourself at home, and don't forget to check out the other great ScienceBlogs as well.
