The DonorsChoose drive ended a few days ago, and thanks to the amazing generosity of my readers, we were able to raise $1104 for science education in public schools, completely funding 8 projects and partially funding 4 more. 486 students were directly impacted by your donations. All told, ScienceBlogs readers (along with the Seed match) resulted in $69,335 going to science education. That's amazing. And it doesn't have to stop here, Janet has some strategies for getting involved in science education with more than just your wallet.
But for now, enjoy the weekend, and know that you'll be seeing Minnow pictures on this blog for a long time to come...and a grand finale non-pseudonymous picture of Minnow and I together. I'll slowly be writing thank you emails to those of you who emailed me, and slowly granting picture requests (keep them coming, they're great inspiration). I'll also be living what I preach in terms of staying involved with science education...at the end of next week, I'll be conducting a workshop for high school science teachers.
Today's photo is fulfilling a request for Makita:
This picture is from July on a trip to visit friends in Mystery State. The two girls were as interested in checking each other out as they were in exploring the gardens.

The grass seems nice and lush in Mystery state. Glad to see Minnow enjoys the great outdoors! Thanks for the picture.
