Today is Easter, for those who celebrate it, and the end of Cadbury Egg season for those who don't. SteelyKid's grandparents and great-grandmother are coming to visit, because it's been weeks since they saw her cuteness in person. And that means minimal blogging today.
Religious connotations aside, Easter is one of the cultural signposts of spring. And spring, of course, means the return of twittery birds, and bunnies:
They're bunnies in the next yard over, right now, but there will be bunnies. Oh, yes, there will be bunnies.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. The rest of you, enjoy your Sunday.

Today is Easter Sunday, which we celebrated in the manner of my people, by chasing soap bubbles around the backyard:
OK, that's not an actual tradition, but it was a beautiful day today, and SteelyKid got a big bottle of bubble stuff from her great-grandmother, so it seemed like the right thing to…

SteelyPalooza came off very well, despite high disaster potential. We were, after all, inviting a dozen five-year-olds plus assorted siblings to our house, on a day when Kate and The Pip were out of commission due to coxsackie virus. Everything went smoothly, though: the kids loved the bouncy-…
It's been over a month since I did a photo-a-day post, largely because I haven't been taking many pictures for a variety of reasons. I do still mean to get a year's worth of good photos done, but the "daily" part has completely disintegrated at this point.
As a way of getting somewhat back on…
As Lewis Carroll's dog puts it, frustrated by a long wait: "Bunnies yesterday, bunnies tomorrow, but never bunnies today."
Emmy's going to ask you about quantum tunnelling shortly, I just know it....
But are any of the bunnies made of cheese?
You wait for the Cadbury eggs too? :) [I am highly amused that they now claim to be 'made under license for Hershey's in the UK']
Tragedy this morning, though. Somehow - I blame rocket fuel in the breast milk personally - despite ten years of marriage, J believed that I might possibly want to receive Creme Eggs - an abomination of sickly sweetness - rather than the joy that is the Caramel Egg. I sense a trip to seek out half-price Cadbury Caramel Eggs tomorrow. Want 3 4-packs of creme eggs? :)
My new Easter tradition: Letting Arnie out into the backyard, yelling "Wheres the bunnie, Arnie! Get the bunbun! Get him! I know hes back there!" while my neighbors children look at me in horror...
LOL! ooops...
