ScienceBlogs is launching a new "Super Reader" program, where each blogger can nominate two readers as "Super Readers" who will be given the ability to tag three posts a week from all of ScienceBlogs for a special RSS feed (this will be done using del.icio.us). This is envisioned as a first step toward greater interactivity between bloggers and readers, but it's very much an experiment at this stage-- it might work, it might flop, it might mutate into something totally unexpected.
Anyway, I know who I won't be picking, but choosing readers to get special bloggy powers is a harder question. So I'll throw it open here-- who should I nominate for "Super Reader" status?
If you'd like to be a Super Reader leave a comment (one comment per reader, no more than 100 words) explaining why you should be the choice. If you'd like to see some other specific person nominated, leave a single comment of no more than 100 words explaining why it should be that person. If you think the whole thing is silly, leave a single comment of no more than 100 words saying that.
(Void where prohibited. Some restrictions apply-- see below the fold for terms and conditions.)
Readers who are chosen for "Super Reader" status will have their names sent along to ScienceBlogs headquarters, and will be contacted by the Corporate Masters with instructions on how to tag posts. "Super Readers" would be expected to tag no more than three posts per week for inclusion in the special feed. Tagged posts can be from any blog in the network, and should highlight the "best" of ScienceBlogs in the opinion of the readers.. Posts tagged by more than one reader will appear only once.
The final decision of who to select, or whether to even bother sending in names, is mine and mine alone. Selection criteria are deliberately vague. I reserve the right to nominate people who aren't nominated in the comments to this post, or to not nominate anyone at all if it seems like too much hassle to pick.
