The winner of this month's Molly award dominated the voting this time around — I guess the combination of cephalopod and poetry was irresistible. Everyone congratulate Cuttlefish, OM.

The winner of the Molly Award for the month of April kept having the same thing said about him over and over: he was overdue, that people were voting for him month after month. Finally, persistence pays off: you can now refer to Bill Dauphin, OM.
Notice that it is now June — you need to tell me who…
Three and a half years is a pretty decent lifespan for a cuttlefish.
The Cuttlefish Poet started out as a joke. I had posted about Cephalopod
Awareness Days, including a cephalopod poetry contest, and just for
fun, added a handful. I have my reputation to think of, so a quick
nom de tentacle…
And this month's winner of the coveted and prestigious Molly award is … Ichthyic. He handily beat out the inanimate carbon rod, fortunately.
I noticed that, in this recent thread asking why you were all here, that many of you said it was for the community and for the smart commenters here. Nobody said it was for my irresistible physical beauty and scintillating and delicate charm…in fact, I got the distinct impression I could drop dead…
Totally deserving.
[A feeble attempt, but nevertheless...]
When you stare into the waters
Beware what lurks beneath:
A wingéd form with tentacles
and wit with razor teeth
With deadly rhyme and meter
And calligraphic ink
The acts of fools are savaged
So pause, reflect, and think
Must you wear those wetsuits?
Do your words limp or sting?
You may be greatly shamed
When the Cuttlefish does sing
Trade the noise for silence
Maybe read a book
Camouflage your foolishness
And you might be off the hook
Wisdom, as well as folly,
The Cuttlefish will laud
And we who honor wisdom
Must, of course, applaud
But fools are ever foolish
As Cuttlefish does know
There's plenty of ink for you
If foolishness you show
I think this qualifies as "good ink". Bravo!
My platter runneth over.

Congratulations, oh Cuttlefish,
And warmly welcome to the club,
For you make it clear now to everyone here
Whereinever in fact lies the rub.
And all that in verse and in meter,
And all that with reason and rhyme,
What's more, it's such fun, tell us, how have we done
Without that for such a long time?
(I should think of just one more stanza,
But my imagination is up,
The tune, in full bloom, gives me lots of more room,
Not your bottomless barrel's my cup!)
You have, as first, made it obvious
What should be in everyone's sight:
"The film clearly shows that stupidity flows
Just a little bit faster than,
little bit faster than,
little bit faster than light!"
</sing>

(...Now I just hope I've correctly remembered where all the parts of the tune go.)
Oh, shit. I thought I had figured the <br> tag out. I had not. So, the narrowest empty lines should actually be the broadest ones.
At work, the giant squid we have on display is affectionately referred to as "Molly." As in, Molly the Mollusc.
Finally, the anti-cephalopod sentiment that is so pervasive in this blog seems to be weakening.
Congratulations to an intelligent and interesting invertebrate.
WTG Cuttlefish!
Bravo Cuttlefish.
Admirable, cuttlefish.
Just think, after that great breeding frenzy is over
and all the eggs have been laid
what's left of you
may yet end up in a parrot's cage.
BIG congratulations, you shy little cephalapod!! Cuddly cuddly cuddly!! :D
My platter runneth over.
