OK, so apparently there's a blogging scholarship, and it just so happens that someone who comments here at Mixing Memory, Jennifer Wong of Cyberspace Rendezvous, is a finalist, as is fellow Science Blogger Shelley Batts. You should go vote for one of those two here. I'm going to endorse Jennifer, not only because she comments here (which automatically makes me like you, even if your comments are critical), and I'm loyal like that, but because she's a big Soul Coughing fan, and anyone who thinks Ruby Vroom was a great album deserves a scholarship. Good luck to both Jennifer and Shelley, though. I hope one of them wins.

Fellow ScienceBlogger Shelley Batts is a finalist for a student blogging scholarship. Not only is she a fine blogger, but she shares with me a connection with the University of Michigan, where she is now working on her Ph.D. and where I got both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.
So, with that…
You may be aware of the $5000 scholarship for students who are science bloggers.
Now the 10 finalists have been announced and you should go here to cast your vote.

Fellow ScienceBlogger Shelly Batts of Retrospectacle was chosen this last week as a finalist for a blogging scholarship being offered by Scholarships Around the US. She's a hell of a blogger, and I think she deserves our support. If you agree, you have until midnight (Eastern Time) TONIGHT to…
You'll recall I posted about fellow Scibling Shelley Batts's run-in with Wiley over fair use of a figure and graph from a journal article. This incident created quite a firestorm in the blogosphere. You'll find a good summary and a nice link roundup provided by Bora over at A Blog Around The…
Thank you for your support! Although I haven't commented a lot lately due to schoolwork, I have been reading and perhaps it's an overlap of interests, but I gain a lot of knowledge and insight from your posts. Not schmoozing, just being honest. :-)
Hey Jenna, you're welcome, and good luck.
