Republican Voters Ejected From...

...Republican political rally? Call me confused (italics mine):

"When I started talking to them, it kind of became clear that they were kind of just telling people to leave that they thought maybe would be disruptive, but based on what? Based on how they looked," Elborno said. "It was pretty much all young people, the college demographic."

Elborno said even McCain supporters were among those being asked to leave.

"I saw a couple that had been escorted out and they were confused as well, and the girl was crying, so I said 'Why are you crying? and she said 'I already voted for McCain, I'm a Republican, and they said we had to leave because we didn't look right,'" Elborno said. "They were handpicking these people and they had nothing to go off of, besides the way the people looked."

That's what you get for voting Republican? Nice.

I'll have more to say about the rally tomorrow (short version: as was said in more civilized times, meh.). But I think it's worth noting that the Tea Partyers are even more wingnutty than Digby thinks: 1) The NY Times poll graphic compares Tea Buggers with all respondents. But keep in mind that…
One of the things about growing up a few decades ago as a Jewish liberal Democrat in Virginia is that I was forced to meet people who were very different from me (this is a good thing). Thus, I always find it astonishing, simply because it is so foreign to my own experience, how some people can…
Hmmm, I have not done one of these in a few weeks, so if you depend on me for your political information, check under the fold: The Terrorist Barack Hussein Obama: From the start, there have always been two separate but equal questions about race in this election. Is there still enough racism in…
Under the fold.... What Makes People Vote Republican?: Not everyone who votes Republican has been 'duped'. Conservative ideals appeal to some because they reflect heartfelt visions of a 'good society. The Religious Right's Religious Right: One of the fascinating things about the Palin story to me…

They can cry me a goddamned river, because if they'd been paying any attention, they'd know damned well that this is what they were voting for. Idiots.

This just shows how the bachmannites have great judgement as to who is unamerican and who's not.

You reap what you sow. You sow the seeds of prejudice, pre- judging people, this is your fruit.

If I remember correctly, George Bush's people kept people out of his public policy road show on Social Security. McCain claimed that he was "Not George Bush." So far he has been doing all he can to emulate George Bush.

Don't know why you're surprised about this. All political events, by both parties, are becoming increasingly stage managed. It's part of pandering to the lazy media.
