Some of you might have noticed a new blog in the feeds; the ScienceBlogs Book Club. The blog will feature discussions about the book Microcosm by my fellow Scibling Carl Zimmer, John Dennehy, PZ, Jessica Snyder Sachs, and Carl himself all offering up commentary. The discussions will unfold over the course of the next two weeks, so if you're interested in joining in head on over and check out the new blog!
I haven't read Microcosm yet (I'm still working on The Simian Tongue and Fossil Horses just came in the mail), but I am looking forward to seeing what people have to say about Carl's new book. What newly-released or upcoming books would you want to see featured there? I nominate Eric Roston's The Carbon Age (although I must admit the book I'm most looking forward to this summer is Tyrannosaurus rex, The Tyrant King edited by Larson & Carpenter).

Well, I'm supposed to be writing a review right now of Leonard Mlodinow's The Drunkard's Walk. The back cover has an endorsement from David Berlinski, but don't let that fool you — it's actually a good book. And after that, I'm moving on to Alan Sokal's Beyond the Hoax. I've found both of these to be quite worthwhile reading, but my thoughts have been too scattered to write sensible things about them.
