A little help with a new banner

I've had a thin-section of Charles R. Knight's Laelaps up for a while (essentially over a year if you count my old blog) and now I feel like it's time for a change. I was originally thinking of making a banner from one of my photographs, but that didn't seem to be a good solution (too familiar and a bit bland if I'm going to keep doing PotD). What I'm thinking of, then, is commissioning someone to make a new banner for Laelaps.

The new banner would have to be 756 pixels long by 93 pixels high (the banner I'm now using can be found here if you need stand-alone comparison), so unfortunately there's not a lot of space to work with. Still, if you've got some artistic talent (I know there are several paleo-artists on here from time to time) and would like to help come up with something new, please send me an e-mail. Depending on cost, I'm probably going to ask several artists to come up with a few different designs that I'll rotate through, so the greater the variety of artists the better.

It's been a while since I've posted a meme here, but I was recently tagged by Dr. Vector and I simply must continue this one. Indeed, I've been hit with the Writing Meme, which says that I should; 1. List 3 writing tips 2.Tag 3 people whose writing style you admire. When Matt tagged me he wrote…
Way, way back on 16 July, I got a letter from the Discovery Institute. Dear Dr. Myers: I am writing to ask if you have plans to review Dr. Stephen C. Meyer's new book Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design (HarperOne). I would be happy to ask Dr. Meyer's publisher to…
Hey folks, The time has come. This blog needs a groovy banner. If you design one, send it to me, and I like it, you win. I'll throw your name with a link to whatever you'd like in the sidebar, and possibly mail you a surprise* prize. The banner should be 756 x 93 pixels max. It should also not…

I certainly like drawing paleo type things, but my sketches are probably not the calibre of what would be required. Looking forward to what you choose though.
