I should've brought the other laptop....

The 2nd Annual Science Blogging Conference is now over, but the festivities sure aren't; I'll soon be hitting the bar with some of my fellow Sciblings and other wonderful people I've met over the past few days. I really wish I had brought a working laptop to blog this event as it has been unfolding (the one I have is a decade-old monster that doesn't like me), but plenty of other people have been updating things throughout the day (check out some of Ginny's entries on Page 3.14, including a picture of all the Sciblings at the conference and a sighting of PZ). I'll do a more detailed post on who I met, what I heard, and all the general coolness that was this conference, but I will offer up a bit of a teaser. I received some very good news that, if everything goes off right, will definitely be a delightful surprise for all you readers. More on that at a later date, but for now all I can say is that the conference was absolutely excellent and I would encourage anyone who can to come next year (I know I will be!). If you couldn't make it though, I understand that all the sessions were recorded in one way or another, so you'll get to see what was said on each panel in the very near future. If you really can't wait, you can also find out what people have been saying over on the aggregator for the conference, and I'm sure the blogosphere will be flooded with news of this great event over the next few days. And now, off to the bar...
