When you were in Finland, did you have time to check out some glacial/postglacial features (which the U.S. creationists of course would claim were made in a single instant)? The slowly receding water at the Bothnic Sea coast (due to the post-glacial rebound) is a very concrete proof that the world is constantly changing. And when you check features of overlapping -but gradually increasing- age, Scandinavia is full of features linking the present day to the geological "deep time". The whole region is an antidote to creationists. Unfortunately, the flora and fauna is probably not very interesting to an evolutionary biologist, as the species here are relatively recent immigrants.
