A week or two ago, the American Museum of Natural History added some horse artworks to its grounds. This is one of those horses.
Nocturnal Landscape, right side.

This lovely horse artwork stands on the sidewalk on the western side of the American Museum of Natural History and is apparently part of the museum's special exhibit, "The Horse".
I like this side better, but unfortunately, the light does not show the colors and patterns on thei side as well as on the other. I have photographed all of these horses several times, and at different times of the day and under different light conditions, but haven't been able to capture the lovely colors on this side to my satisfaction.
You can see a hint of the lovely colors and patterns on this horse (below) when you look at its chest and legs. Unfortunately, the colors on the face are ruined by the ambient lighting. I have been unable to find an angle where I can capture the colors of the face without light interference.

Gorgeous! I have to go and see this one and the others when I come to NYC.
Perhaps it looks better in person, but to me this looks like it belongs on the side of a van, not decorating the AMNH
