Forthcoming from Oxford University Press:
The book is partly a memoir of my experiences at various creationist conferences, partly an exploration of creationist thought and argumentation, and partly a broader discussion of issues related to science and religion. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, so hopefully readers will enjoy it.

Probably not, but it's going to get one. I have just signed a contract with Oxford University Press for a book based on my experiences at creationist conferences. It's not going to be an easy book to write, but it should be a fun project.
The basic outline looks like this:
Section one will be…
The official publication date for the BECB (that's the big evolution/creationism book for those not up on the local slang) was April 10. Alas, as the tenth drew near I was dismayed to find that the book was only available for pre-order. My previous two books were both available two to three…
I will be in Baltimore at the end of week to give a couple of talks in honor of Darwin Day.
On Thursday, February 12, I will be speaking to the Baltimore Ethical Society. Pot luck dinner at 6:30 pm, with the talk beginning at 7:30. I will give a talk entitled Among the Creationists; I seem to…
The Mathematical Association of America has now posted a thorough review of the Big Sudoku Book. The review is by Mark Hunacek, of Iowa State University. His verdict:
This is a delightful book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. In some sense it is hardly surprising that I would enjoy it, since…
Great, Jason!
Soooooo, when can we expect the sudoku book?
jd
Ahem! I think Ed Brayton might want to speak with you about the title ;-)
Inquiring minds want to know:
Were you wounded at the front?
Did you get PTSD? Or the simpler, short term combat stress?
Looking forward to it.
Can't wait, cute cover.
Will it be available on Kindle?
Fantastic! In spite of the certainty that I will be alternately enraged and gobsmacked by the actions and ignorance of creationists revealed in this book, I'm still looking forward to reading it.
Looks great, can't wait to read it! Congrats!
Congratulations! Love the cover.
Wow! Sounds very interesting. Congrats, Jason! Is it your first book?
Good news! Will there be a Nook edition?
Thanks for all the encouragement! Oxford publishes both Kindle and Nook editions of its books, so we're good to go on that one.
By the time this is published it will be my third book. The Sudoku book is currently scheduled for publication in January 2012, but as a practical matter that means books might be available in December.
I'm looking forward to it. And you've already drawn a sneer from 'News' over at Uncommon Dissent. :)
Yet another creation/evolution book to grace my shelves... looking forward to it!
Congratulations! And an OUP book at that! I'll be Kindling it when it arrives. Don't know about the Sudoku book, though I might give it as a gift to some friend brighter than I. For your next book you should switch gears and produce a critical analysis of the novels of John Dickson Carr. He's been quite neglected recently.
Fantastic, just when I thought i was running out of good books to read!
Please do a post when it's actually available so I can get it.
have to wait for the paperback or the library :(
Amazon has it listed as an April 2 release.
What would be nice is a release prior to the March 1-4 Moving Secularism Forward Joint CfI/CfSH in Orlando, FL. It is certainly on topic for that meeting.
I love the cover illustration. Brilliant.
I'm sure that what's inside will live up to it, too.
I just realized that my comment (directly above) could come across as sarcastic. It's definitely not intended that way. Sorry if it seemed so.

Fantastic post I very much enjoyed it, keep up the good work.
I did a peer-review at some stage a year or two back, I strongly recommended it, I'm glad it's finally out!
