I was feeling left out this week-- everybody talking about the Higgs Boson-- I cant contribute anything except links to Ethans fantastic posts (what the hell does 5-some-greek-symbol mean? whats a Higgs? wat?).
But THIS I understand!
The photographer who made that image, Seth Casteel, is AMAZING.
AMAZING.
If you want to make yourself sick to your stomach from laughing really, REALLY hard, check out his gallery of underwater puppahs.
He also takes glamor shots of shelter animals to help get them adopted faster. Fantastic photographer and a fantastic person!

You know, when Abbie said, "pretend this is Coynes place," that is not what she meant.
I love those underwater photos! Some of the underwater dogs look like deep sea fish - the Boston Terrier in particular looks like a viperfish or dragonfish.
You can see in some of the photos (especially the one of what looks to be a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) that dogs seal their nostrils when the face is underwater. Wish I could do that - need better muscles of facial expression around the nose!
Ahaha, those underwater puppies look intense. They really want those toys.
I think that sigma stands for standard deviation. It's a measure of how adventurous you are. Myself, I only go for non-standard deviations.
It may just be because I'm reading the complete works of Lovecraft, but there's a definite hint of the Innsmouth look about it...
Er, a hint of the Innsmouth look about the underwater puppeh, I meant.
I should've read what I typed before I hit submit, there, shouldn't I...
