In true Harry Potter style, Fox News magically transformed Mark Foley into a Democrat:

Boing Boing points out that Fox News has at least thrice identified disgraced Congressman Mark Foley — Republican of Florida, former chair of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, cyberstalker of adolescent Congressional pages — as a Democrat.
See it to believe it.
Apparently they…
No, I'm not talking about Harry Potter books-- there won't be any more of those for a while, at least until J. K. Rowling decides she really needs to buy Bolivia. I'm talking about "Harry Potter" the cultural phenomenon-- the inescapable, endlessly hyped mass-culture Event that everybody talks…
It looks like one the (if not the) most famous psych hospital in the world is going to be turned into a luxury hotel. The Bellevue Psych Hospital will go under construction some time in 2009. I know The Shining happened in a hotel but it seems like this is along those lines and is prime real…
Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) resigned yesterday because he sexually propositioned a sixteen year-old congressional page. That's awful enough--well, that and Foley was the Chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, but what's even worse is that the House Republican leadership knew…
In late-night reruns, they did not have any party affiliation on those same clips.
The only explanation that makes any sense, is that Bill O'Reilly was so upset that Mark Foley stopped IMing him, that he lost control.
The obvious answer is that, like Dick Armey, Foley never truly subscribed to the virtues and morals of the Republican party, and he turned his back on them, so he must be a closet Democrat.
Isn't that even more damning?
Having realized their honest mistake they couldn't bring themselves to "label" Congressman Foley.
O'Reilly's show dishonest!? Say it ain't so!
But Foley has always been a democrat! When did Fox News start using 1984 as a guide on how to rewrite history?

Apparently there were warnings about this going back to 1995
Now Associated Press has also referred to Foley as a Democrat. They've corrected it.
Not J.K. Rowling, George Orwell. This reminds me of the scene in 1984 where Oceania changes sides in the war and news arrives half way through a political rally: hacks just pull down the propaganda posters and the speaker changes the name of the "enemy" mid-speech.

Someone needs to send this in to Olbermann. Get it out in the open. Shame Fox into either canceling O'Reilly or letting him drag them back down into the abyss from which they crawled.
Well, he was once a Democrat -- a fact various conservative people feel the need to keep mentioning.
So the question is: Did he become a pedophile after converting to Republicanism or did he just find Republicanism more in line with his pedophilic tendencies.
I'm waiting for the bloggers that went apes**t over an "X" appearing on a graphic of Cheney for 0.7 second to make a lot of noice about this, but apnea is not in my plans for the wait.
-c +s in "noice." duh.
Haven't you all heard? Speaking of Fox, that channel couldn't get up an running until the '90's because they had to wait until they were able to get green cards for a critical mass of ex-Pravda writers and spinmeisters over from Moscow. They were out of jobs and Roger Ailes desperately needed some propagandists. And given the Military Commissions bill I suspect the line for torturers and jailers is a mile long at the US Embassy in Moscow.
Not like Harry Potter; it's like Lord Voldemort.
ARE YOU ANN COULTER?
Andrew do you read that stuff on purpose? God, I'm going to have to scratch my eyes out now. That woman is crazier than people give her credit for.
Is there no stone of deceit that Fox will leave unturned?
This 1860 quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson (The Conduct of Life) seems appropriate for the Republican Party nowadays...
"The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons."
Yup, and I'll bet he doesn't wear a kilt either.
(for the noncognoscenti, that is a reference to the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy)
