Although, ironically, there was a report from a hotel manager a few years back whose hotel hosted a big religious right conference. He said that the hotel actually set a record for most money made on hotel room porn that weekend. I'm sure it was just for research purposes.

If memory serves, the hotel was in Charlotte, North Carolina. But I'm afraid I'm working from memory here and I may be mistaken. It's been several years since I saw the report.

That's entirely unsurprising. A person with very conservative religious faith is most likely to be susceptible to temptation, and hence most likely to believe that everyone else is also and therefore we should all be removed from it.
One wonders if the christianet survey was "freeped." Heck, if I'd known about it, I would have signed in to skew the data.
WRT the hotel porn record, I have a friend whose family owns a tourist trap mall in a Large Bible Belt Tourist Destination, who tells me that when the fundie youth orgaizations come to town on field trips, shoplifting skyrockets. They haven't done an actual survey, but I'd be willing to bet that the pilfered products are things the kids are ashamed to take to the register, and wouldn't buy in their home towns where "word might get around."

A large SAS Radisson Hotel in Oslo, Norway talked about stopping porno on their pay per view.
The problem was that the maids were getting sick of walking in on businessmen with their pride out. Apparently some of the men also thought that the action from the screen would be reenacted with the naughty maid.
I don't know if this is a general problem in hotels, or just the Norwegian way of trying to remove the dangerous porn?
I went to a private Christian college in Tennessee, studying for the ministry. Having grown up secular, I had pretty simple entertainments (mostly caving and cliffing), but who do you think we had to help up the stairs, clean up, and put to bed? Right. The ministers' kids. Having grown up with every choice made for them they just fell apart at the smallest bit of freedom. All of the discipline they ever had was externally applied so they never developed any of their own. It was as if their parents had done all their homework for them K-12.
Of course the religious wackies want porn out of hotels. Do have any idea how hard it is for them to abuse women or molest childern when they can hear you in the next room wacking-off?
If the businessmen have trouble distinguishing between porn and reality, I don't think the hotels can really be blamed for it. Perhaps those men should seek professional help.

The link you gave quotes the results of an online poll, so it is potentially very inaccurate - plus, I wouldn't put it past the "analysts" at ChristaiNet to make their problem sound worse than it is.

My cousin works as a night auditor at a large chain hotel in the Bible Belt of Virginia, so he sees exactly what charges each room accrues. He claims that when the hotel hosts Southern Baptist functions, which it often does, the spank-o-vision orders pour in at unaparalleled rates.

I remember the case, I think. As I recall it, the cable records he used in his defense included the pay-per-view records of the hotels. Hotels, which, ironically, the people seeking prosecution had financial interests in.
