As an unofficial member of the Keith Olbermann fan club, how on earth could I possibly resist plugging a website and a book with the name Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O'Reilly? I suggest reading it with a side order of falafel.

I just saw a few minutes of Fox's Bill O'Reilly being interviewed by Matt Lauer on The Today Show regarding President Bush's surprise visit to Baghdad along with other issues of the Iraq war. Undoubtedly, there will be some folks who will parse and critique every word that Matt and Bill uttered,…
I guess the "Beat on Conservatives Who Make Fools of Themselves" trifecta is in play, so I might as well run with this. Keith Olbermann unleashes a massive smackdown on Bill O'Reilly. Transcript and video are at onegoodmove.

I'm not as big a fan of Keith Olbermann as I used to be. Indeed, sometimes he strikes me as the liberal version of Rush Limbaugh, not to mention a blowhard. However, occasionally, he still has it, and when he's on, no one skewers the dishonest better than he does. For instance, after a media flack…
Keith Olbermann routinely declares Bill O'Reilly to be The Worst Person in the World, but I thought yesterday's edition was especially amusing:
And our winner? Oh, it's a two-for, Bill-O offering you this splendid deal, buy a copy of his book, “I'm Squinting While Wearing a Wind Breaker” -- no, I…
That site has been around for several years now, although it's changed quite a lot since I last visited. Also, I didn't know he had a book out. That's awesome.
I'm addicted to talk radio, and here in D.C. from noon until 2 there's nothing on but O'Reilly. So if I have to go to the store or go out and get lunch, I listen to WJFK and O'Reilly. 20 minutes of that crap is about as much as I can take. Now they have this asshole Jay Severin on in the evenings. Just another O'Reilly wanna-be. Although, of course, like O'Reilly, he claims to be a 'radical independent.' Yeah, right.
At least after O'Reilly's done I get Penn Jillette's militant atheist libertarian hour before Don and Mike. That's worth waiting for.
But anyway, this is a book I gotta get. I first learned of this guy from- believe it or not- Air America. But let's not hold that against him.
Haven't read the book, and hadn't heard of the web site before. I heard the authors interviewed on the radio--I believe it was last weekend--and they sounded pretty funny. Unlike right-wing talk radio, which is mostly angry.
I wonder what the demographics of most right-wing talk radio programs (or TV programs, for that matter) are. We have a right-winger here in Boston, Howie Carr (he's also syndicated to some other areas) and to listen to him talk, his ratings are very good here in Boston. Actually, they are not, and median age for listeners to his flagship Boston station is 59 for men and 63 for women. Not exactly prime targets for most advertisers.
Also, Carr himself isn't really a right-winger, he just plays one on the radio. I wonder how common that is.
Regarding Jay Severin, he used to be on here on an FM talk radio station. He isn't any more. He was a nut, and his ratings and demographics were worse than Carr's.
Indeed! I listen to it every day.
