Law.com has an interesting article about Eric Rothschild and Steve Harvey, the two Pepper Hamilton attorneys who led the legal team for the plaintiffs in the Dover trial. One statement really stuck out to me:
Rothschild said what he was proudest of throughout this whole trial was his cross-examination of defense expert Michael Behe, a professor at Lehigh University and proponent of intelligent design.
Rothschild said he knew what he was talking about when he moved to the witness stand, and he owes that to the National Center for Science Education, which thoroughly explained intelligent design to the plaintiffs team.
He should be proud of that, his cross examination of Behe was brilliantly executed. And it's nice that he gives the credit to the folks at the NCSE, who worked so hard to provide support to the legal team and succeeded beyond anyone's predictions. One of the things that Burt and I really tried to do with our Skeptic article was to show some of what went on behind the scenes and how the hard work of so many folks out of the public eye really was really the key to the case. It's nice to see the attorneys giving that credit as well.

And it doesn't hurt that Behe is like a broken record with his claims...purposeful arrangement of parts...Mount Rushmore...no evidence for the evolution of irreducibly complex systems...yadda yadda yadda.
This is interesting. Is the transcript of the Behe cross-examination available on-line? I would be interested in reading it.
BTW, I agree with

The 139 page decision was a total smack-down. And I liked the fact that the judge took the "activist judge" issue upfront.
No appeal.
