iPod iChing - Heated up about HST

Friday, and it is still freezing.
Much has happened since last friday, so we humbly approach the mighty iPod and implore it respectfully to guide us...
What, oh mighty iPod, is now going to happen with the Hubble Space Telescope?

Whoosh goes the randomizer.
Whoosh.

  • The Covering: Atomic - Blondie
  • The Crossing: Run through the jungle - Creedence Clearwater Revival
  • The Crown: Aginst Th' Law - Billy Bragg & Wilco
  • The Root: Maria - Tonight - Three Tenors
  • The Past: Here Comes Santa Clause
  • The Future: Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits
  • The Questioner: Hrogning eru að Koma - Bubbi
  • The House: Night Boat to Cairo - Madness
  • The Inside: Sugar on my Tongue - Talking Heads
  • The Outcome: All I Want is You - U2

Well, off with a bang. Tonight is indeed the Night.
The Crossing - reality, not a dream...
The Crown - the song of despair when nothing is to be had and everything is forbidden.
The Root - sets the stage for the Future I guess, but with a modern twist.
The Past - well, it was christmas and lots of loot.
The Future - the ultimate tragedy of miscommunication and conflict.

The Questioner: Aargh! This is a classic from the legendary "Polar Bear Blues" album, it is "The Roes are Coming" - the classic song of the travelling worker getting ready for a surge as Roe season starts and the boats come in with "must process now" loads. Dirty work, but someone must do it. Twist is that the singer thought he was done and had just got dressed to go out party when a new load came in - "back to work, if you work enough you will get money, you have to work until you ache down to your toes" - classic. Never understood why "Polar Bear Blues" didn't make it big outside Iceland, who could forget the classic title song about "1000 cods approach on the conveyor", or the anthemic "Steel and Knife" about the temp sailor who wakes by his lover knowing that tonight he will drown.

The House - hmm.
The Inside - promise of fulfillment, or tantalizing tease. We'll find out tonight.
The Outcome - promises - all the promises we break...

Wise is the iPod.

As always, the Key as explained by Sean
