Below the fold, you'll find a picture taken from an earlier post on this blog. In the image, you'll see three very different locations. These three locations have at least one biogeographical feature that they share and that relates to today. What is it?

No snakes in Ireland, Hawaii or Mars
No Dr. Phil on Ireland, Hawaii or Mars
"No snakes in Ireland, Hawaii or Mars"
Damn, Saint Patrick really did get around. Do martians get knee-walking commode-hugging drunk on cheap beer dyed green to celebrate Pattie driving off the snakes?
If a martian stumbled out from behind some rocks in front of one of our landers and proceeded to piss his/her/its name in the dust and puke up vast quantities of green beer would the folks at the space center miss it because they were similarly debilitated?
More seriously, I assume all three locations have craters in common.
Ireland is a shield volcano? News to me ;-).
