I've been blogging here for over two months now, and Aard is steadily working its way upp the Technorati ranking scale. But Google hasn't taken any notice yet: it still considers the authority of this site to be a 0 on a scale of 10. Meanwhile, my old hibernating blog appears to become more and more authoritative. It used to be a 4 back when I still blogged there. Now it's a 6!?

Popular blog indexing service Technorati has revamped its graphic design and appears to have quit ranking blogs. Now how will I know if I have any personal worth?
Technorati keeps track of how many different sites have linked to yours over the past six months. This figure is called your blog's "…
Aardvarchaeology's been on-line for half a year today! Before I came here, I'd been blogging at Salto sobrius for over a year, so by now this blogging thing is a big part of my lifestyle and self-image. I love it -- I write about whatever's occupying my mind, a pleasurable pastime in itself, and…
It's been a year now since I started blogging at Sb (after a bit more than a year at Blogspot). Looking at the server stats for December 1-28, Aard is ranked #31 out of 66 blogs here for traffic, with a daily median readership of about 650 uniques, including about 130 identifiable returning readers…

Google doesn´t want you anymore...
The bitch! I'm sure Google's being all lovey dovey with you, though. d-;
Yahoo has the science blog as the number 4 hit under your name. Your old blog is still on the top of their search though. Everyone else I checked is still missing the new one though.
Thanks for checking! I wonder what Yahoo's ranking algorithm is like. I mean, Google is entirely aware that this site exists, it just doesn't seem very impressed with the quality of sites that link here.
Maybe you should check into the Google Sandbox theory.

Aha, thanks, that was news to me. But I don't think being sandboxed is the problem.
1. Entire domains are sandboxed, not new content on trusted domains like Scienceblogs.
2. Aardvarchaeology is crawled and indexed very promptly.
Google is just holding back on giving the blog a decent PageRank.
